Hi there, I’m Amber, I’m 46 and a passionate Montessori educator and founder of Tesorini Montessori. I am deeply committed to nurturing, cultivating, and maximising the potential of young children during these delicate, formative years. I focus on the sensitive periods of development and create a gentle environment of emotional safety and purposeful activity.
I am consistently in awe of humans' natural and sequential development. My interests include language acquisition, developmental psychology, attachment, neuroscience, and the critical windows of development. I am fascinated not only by how the brain grows in response to its environment but also by the mind. I am a Mother to my gorgeous ten-year-old, and a Caregiver to my Mum, who has Parkinson's disease. Becoming mother was the most profound experience of my life. My daughter is a gentle, intuitive soul, and I have watched her consistently thrive under the wing of her Montessori teachers, who hold deep respect for how children naturally develop.
Alongside my AMI Montessori training, I have over twenty years of experience working alongside infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their families with previous roles in nannying, kindergartens, family daycare and long daycare centres. ( And of course, being a mum!) I have experience working with diverse families, and I strongly believe in the importance of the parent-child relationship and in building trusting relationships with children and their families to create a holistic learning environment.
I am intentional about protecting children’s privacy online, so I don’t use any photos of the children in my environment on the internet.
